Be a part of the Philly Dyke March experience by attending the 2013 Philly Dyke March on Saturday, June 8th at Kahn Park, 11th & Pine Sts. The March steps off at 3pm.

We invite you to bring your graphic design/artistic talent to our 2013 competition for a new logo. The logo will appear on THIS website (phillydykemarch.com), on our FB and Twitter, on our T-shirts worn by hundreds of sexy dykes citywide, on our press releases and marketing materials, on our temporary tattoos, on basically everything!

Instructions: Submit high-resolution files to be judged by the PDM community on FB, poll style. The winning design will be on all the 2013 Dyke March swag.

Questions? Ready to give it a shot? Email your submissions to phillydykemarch@gmail.com by March 2nd. Files should be high-res 300 dpi and a similar size to the T-shirt. If accepted, the exact format may vary pending our printer specifications.

dyke: A person, traditionally female, who has an emotional and physical attraction to other women; sometimes including (but not limited to): queer, lesbian, bisexual, trans* and cisgendered women/womyn.

Since 1998, the Philly Dyke March has been an opportunity for self-identified dykes to gather, march and rally. Too often, the LGBT community focuses on male-dominated voices. The Philly Dyke March is our protest in support of the dyke voice and experience, and focuses on the wants, needs, and demands of our community. We march to show that we exist, that we matter, and that we have a voice. We demand and create an affirming, dyke-positive space to celebrate the creativity and determination of the Philadelphia dyke community.

Hopefully, you’ve spotted businesses around town showing their support for Dyke March. If not, we bet you will soon! This year, Dyke March organizers created a fantastic window cling for businesses who support the cause and the list of places with the cling on their doors or windows is rapidly growing!
