Miss Representation Documentary Screening

Join us at the screening of the ground-breaking documentary, Miss Representation at William Way Community Center, Documentary Screening hosted by Stimulus Productions.

The documentary Miss Representation, by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and aired on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. The film explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence.

Stimulus Productions has teamed up with other community organizations (including us!) to host this screening at the start of Women’s History Month, in hopes that it will be the first of many steps to empower the women in the thriving Philly LGBTQ community to unite, eradicate gender stereotypes and pervasive sexism.
